gprs socket

in my mobile, the patch "gprs socket for java " is applied ( i m using etcs mod v4) but even though i m not able to connect to applications like web browser, messanger etc..

 

Please tell me what to do, is there any code ..

 

Also when i change my sim card , the mobile clock time changes.. what i have to do to retain the accurate time even when i change the sim card..

Please make sure that you've specified GPRS settings of your mobile operator for java apps.

 

Regarding bug with time changing... well, it looks like hardware problem. There is one more small battery in the phone. It is for keeping some user data saved then user is removing battery. So it looks like this battery is dead.

 

P.S. What's the phone model we are talking about?

i m using samsung x100 with x100xedg1 firmware version.

 

What do u mean by gprs settings for java apps.. there is no such option..

Enter here access point name for GPRS-Internet (not GPRS-WAP), than press OK.

After that (if your operator support GPRS for your account), you may use Java-applications with internet access (such as e-mail, icq, etc.)

The above code *#577699# is not giving any result..

Please check the code is it correct or not..

 

I have gprs activated on my mobile and i can open wapsites but couldnot connect from java applications like web viewer, icq etc..

do you have many patches on your firmware?

 

if that so...i think that your patch may conflict with some other patch or your java app is not acceptable for your phone,try to change app.(for example "jimm" for samsung.

OK i got the code, it is #*577699# (and not *#577699# as told by ETC)..By the way, thanx ETC for your help.. I am now able to connect java applications with gprs..
